Elia Santoro Cataldo of Greendale, was born to Eternal Life on December 23, 2017 at the age of 75. He was born in Palermo, Italy on November 15, 1942 the son of Giovanni and Giuseppa Santoro Cataldo. On July 20, 1971 he married his beloved wife Emilia Siragusa in Palermo, Italy and they then moved to the United States. Elia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, the Garibaldi Club and the Abruzzese Club. He loved gardening, watching sports, making wine, was an avid canary connoisseur and loved wood working. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 46 years, Emilia of Greendale and their loving children, John Santoro Cataldo of New Berlin, Josephine Santoro Cataldo of Franklin and Maurice Santoro Cataldo of West Bend. He was the proud grandfather of Michael Mangiapane and Julia Panfil. He is further survived by his brother Domenico Santoro Cataldo, sisters Anna Carella and Eleonora Flesca all of Palermo, Italy along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 8500 W. Cold Spring Rd. Greenfield, WI 53228. Entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to assist in adorning mausoleum. Please make checks payable to the family.
