Elizabeth "Dolly" Rynders (nee Pekman) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Preceded in death by her husband Earl, granddaughter Jessica, and her siblings. She lovingly raised two children. Her son Gary (Alison) and daughter Sue (Dale). She cherished her role as a grandmother to her three grandchildren: Shannon (Tom) Lincoln, Nickolas Rynders, and Matthew (Mariah) Rynders, and great grandsons Wyatt Lincoln and Micah Rynders. Dolly is also survived by her brothers-in-law Roman Rynders and Henry Schmid, and cousin Irene Bonnert.
Dolly lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family and community. Her greatest joy was her family. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she had a natural talent for nurturing and taking care of those around her. Earl and Dolly were married for 67 years and were an incredible example of true partnership in marriage. Their love for one another was felt not only by their family but their communities as well. She and Earl spent countless years crocheting baby hats for local hospitals and crocheting blankets out of recycled grocery bags for the homeless.
Dolly embraced new technology and was an avid reader using the online Library app. She regularly facetimed with family to keep in touch. She was known for her incredible cherry cheesecake! She loved watching Brewers games. The pitchers and scores were always a topic of conversation with her. And although it was a tall task to learn the new players each year Dolly embraced that challenge!
It is with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to someone who made our lives so much better. We take comfort in knowing that Earl and Dolly are now reunited in heaven.
Donations to NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) or the American Heart Association are suggested.
