WAUKESHA—Elizabeth A. Kerr, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 80. She was born on May 5, 1928 in Billingham, WA to Arnold A. and Eleanor (nee: Hindley) Horlick. She attended the School for the Blind in Janesville. Although she was legally blind she accomplished so much in her life. She raised seven children as well as working outside the home as a nurse’s aide, cook, home health aide, Sunday school teacher, Head Start teacher and volunteered her time at the Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed caneing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and cake decorating. Elizabeth has been a longtime member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church. She will be sadly missed by her children Michael (Cathy) Kerr of Sullivan, Robin (Steve) Jones of Niles, MI, Larry Kerr of Eagle, Peter Kerr of Waukesha, Sherrie Liebenthal of Waukesha and David Kerr of Waukesha. Dear grandmother of Jimmy, Billy, Charlene, Alex, Jr., Stevie, Leslie, Mallory, Andrea, Crystal, Patrick, Nick, Brandon, Tracy, Christopher, Tammy, Roseann, Kerry, Tanya, Saraha, Rick and Danny. She is further survived by 20 great-grandchildren, her sister Lexi (Peter) McGregor of MI, niece Kathleen (Rex) Dressel of IN, nephew Gary McGregor of MI, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Alex and infant granddaughter Julie. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 2:00 PM at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 111 E. Main Street, Waukesha with Fr. David Simmons presiding. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
