Elizabeth Knoebel

Elizabeth J. Knoebel of Wales, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Shorehaven Nursing Home in Oconomowoc at the age of 85.  She was born on June 16, 1924 in Genesee, WI to Thomas and Elizabeth (nee:  Williams) Evans.  She was a 1942 graduate of Waukesha High School.  On November 19, 1949 she married William Knoebel at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha.  She had been a postal worker for many years at Wales, Sullivan and Waukesha, retiring in 1986.  She has been a lifelong member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales. She will be sadly missed by her children Patrick (Lori) Knoebel of Eagle and Nancy (Edson) Knoebel-Rodrigues of Jersey City, New Jersey.  Dear grandmother of Breanna and Brett Knoebel.  She is further survived by her brother Robert (Dee) Evans of Clyman, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband William on Jan. 22, 2006, son Robert Knoebel, siblings Jean Pronold, Byron, Merlin “Red”, Clayton and Harold Evans and Janet O’Rourke. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S.
