Ella Mueller, 90, passed away from pneumonia, Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born to Catherine (Nickolson) and Shannon Follett in Waupaca, Wisconsin on March 17, 1933. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1950. She married Allan Mueller, her husband of 68 years, on May 29, 1953. She worked as an X-ray technician and a seamstress until her retirement in March 1994.
Ella loved to ballroom dance and to sew. She and Al participated in a dance club with friends for many years. She also supported Al's love of restoring cars and antiques by helping with upholstery. When they started to appear in parades in the 1931 Model A roadster, she made them both era-appropriate costumes.
Ella was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Waukesha for over 70 years. Ella was a member of the Senior Choir for 20 years. After she retired in 1994, Ella participated in Needle and Thimble making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She volunteered at the Hope Center and made over 100 baptismal quilts to be given to St. Luke's babies at their baptisms.
Ella was predeceased by her husband Allan Mueller and is survived by her son Mark Mueller (Jean), and her daughter Sue (Mueller) Muza (Rich), and her grandchildren Austin Mueller (Michelle) and C.C. (Mueller) Lucky (Nathan).
There will be visitation at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll Street, Waukesha, WI 53186, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11:00 am, followed by a service at 12:00 pm. If desired, memorials in Ella’s name are appreciated to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
