Ellen “Pat” Ward, of Waukesha died June 22, 2010 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 88. She was born February 13, 1922 in Fordville, North Dakota the daughter of George and Eleanor (nee: Miller) Olson. On December 9, 1942 she married Ralph E. Ward. He preceded her in death in October of 2000. Mrs. Ward was a member of St. William Catholic Church where she belonged to the Christian Women. During World War II she was an active civil servant working in support of farmers in the ASPC office. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoint and her beloved cats, Dean & Tigger. She will be missed by her children: John Ward of Waukesha, and Harriet Pendleton of Waukesha, grandson Dale Pendleton, great-granddaughters Autumn Pendleton, and Stephanie Brimmer. She is also survived by her brothers George (Katherine) Olson, and Martin (Susie) Olson, sister Mary Griffith, other relatives and many friends. The funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, June 28 at 4PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue Waukesha. Visitation will continue Monday from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM. Interment will be held privately at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to HAWS, 701 Northview Rd.
