Evadna ("Evie") Jenkins Durr, of Waukesha, formerly of Delafield, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born in Waukesha on March, 15, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Sarah (nee Price) Jenkins and is a graduate of Waukesha High School. She and her husband, Roger, owned and operated Durr Home Entertainment Center in Delafield for many years until his death in 1976.
She was a longtime member of Delafield Presbyterian Church where she served in many posts, including ruling elder, deacon, Sunday school superintendent, and choir member. She was a member of the Waukesha Historical Society, Hawks Inn Historical Society, and Wildlife in Needs Center.
Evie was proud of her Welsh heritage. Her ancestors came from Amluch, Shirfon County and Llandigar County of Garnarfon in North Wales.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Sue-Ellen (Keith) Beauregard of Elm Grove and nieces Judith (Bob) Jandt, Kitty Kingston (Chris Jockheck), Jacqueline Johnson, Jeanne (Joe) Koch, and nephew Larry (Cindy) Johnson. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, and siblings Lane Jenkins, Beulah (Harry) Johnson, Bernice (John) Kingston, and Kathryn (Floyd) Ellarson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013, from 10AM until the funeral service at Noon at Delafield Presbyterian Church, 1851 Genesse Street, Delafield, WI 53018. Burial will immediately follow at Salem Cemetery, Wales, WI. Memorials to Delafield Presbyterian Church greatly appreciated.
