Everett D Williams

July 24, 1926 — September 15, 2016

Everett D. Williams of Waukesha died on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. He was born July 24, 1926, the son of David and Caroline (nee Knoebel) Williams. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1945 and then proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. When he returned from the war he worked at Perkins Lumber and Feed Mill in Genesee Depot and then started his own business Everett Williams Plumbing and Pump Service. He retired in 2000. On June 30, 1951 he married the former Marlene Burnell at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales. He was a member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, VFW #5270, Wisconsin LST Association, and the LST Reunion Group. Everett was a man of many interests and especially enjoyed his membership in the Footnotes Dance Club, and the Blackshirts Breakfast Group. He loved traveling with Marlene, woodworking and watching his grandson Brent play baseball. He rarely missed a game.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Marlene (nee: Burnell) and their children: Randy (Ann) Williams, Todd (Vicki) Williams, Kyle (Jenna) Williams and his daughter-in-law Georgene Schultz. He was the proud grandfather of: Trisha (Nkemakonam) Obiweluozor, Brent Williams, Jessica (Andy) Schuh, Amanda (Brad) Shimek, Kristopher (Katie) Williams, Jon (Anna) Williams, Michelle (Aaron) Ash, Donnie Durr, Stephanie Durr, Alyssa Williams, Adam Williams, Daniel Williams, and Nikolas Foster. Great grandfather of: Emery, Abigail, Meygan, Jeffery, Hanna, and Zoeanna Schuh; Alexander, Hunter, and Collin Shimek; Grayson, Levi and Isla Williams; Hallie Chiesa; Alexander Ash; Leeland and Harlan Grossman. Everett is also survived by his brother, Jack (Joyce) Williams, and his sisters, Ellen “Cookie” (Elza) Manteau, and Robyn (David Meyers) Allen; his sisters-in-law: Barbara Burnell, Arlene Williams, and Carole Williams. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Williams; parents David and Caroline Williams, father and mother-in-law John and Dorothy Burnell. brothers, Paul and Dennis Williams, sisters, Geraldine (Dean) Schuyler, Helen (Joe) Bralick, Joyce and Wanita, his brother-in-law Dale Burnell, and nephew Tony Bralick.
Visitation will be at Wern Valley Sportsman’s Club S36 W29751 Wern Way, Waukesha, WI 53189 on Friday September 23, 2016 from 2:00 PM until the celebration of life that will begin at 5:00 PM. The Rev. Mark Stahlhut will preside. Additional visitation will follow the celebration from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Private graveside services with full military honors will be held at North Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Jerusalem Presbyterian Church PO Box 88 Wales, WI 53183 or to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight PO Box 636 Port Washington, WI 53074 or the charity of the donors choosing.
