Fernando “Freddy” Salazar Martinez, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his home at the age of 71 years. He was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico on March 12, 1942 the son of Tirso and Rebeca (nee Salazar) Martinez. On August 4, 1967 he married Maria Aguilar in Villa Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico. Freddy enjoyed baseball, softball and playing billiards at many Waukesha establishments. He was recently inducted into the Waukesha City League Billiard Hall of Fame.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years, Maria of Waukesha and their children, Rebecca (H. Tracy Coleman) Martinez-Milton of Essington, PA and Fernando “Corky” (Christina Vega) Martinez of Waukesha and his two granddaughters, Emily and Sarah Martinez of Waukesha. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Rebecca Martinez of Waukesha, Maria (Antonio) Montalbo of Riverbank, CA, George Martinez of Waukesha, Ruben Martinez of Mexico and Victor Martinez of Waukesha. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tirso Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4:00PM until the time of the 7:00PM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha.
