Fred D. Jahn

Fred D. Jahn of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at ManorCare in Pewaukee at age 61. He was born in Milwaukee on October 24, 1954 the son of Donald and Grace (nee Tessman) Jahn. Fred was a 1973 graduate of Waukesha South High School and a 1975 graduate of the auto body refinishing program at WCTC. He worked for many local body shops throughout the Waukesha area. On June 25, 1977 he married Teresa Hilt at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and they later became members of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Fred loved to hunt, fish and restore cars, but most of all he loved being with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.

He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife Teresa of Waukesha and their children, Paul Jahn, Katlyn (Ryan) Fletcher and Michelle Jahn all of Waukesha, his father Donald Jahn of Mukwonago, his sisters, Sandra (Joe) Svitak of Menomonee Falls and Ann (Chris) Bumgardner of Sussex and his brother Chris (Becky) Jahn of Arizona. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Jane Hilt of Waukesha, his brother-in-law Nick (Lisa) Hilt of New Jersey along with many cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Grace.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Seasons Hospice for their comfort and kindness in Fred’s final days and to the nurses and aides who ensured Fred was cared for at ManorCare.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 12:00 noon until the time of the 3:00 p.m. funeral service at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Pastor Lawrence Gates will preside. Private burial will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the family to be designated to charities near to their heart.
