Gary J. Kruse, best friend and much loved husband to Janet for over 30 years passed away peacefully from a short lived illness at AngelsGrace Hospice on May 3, 2014 with his wife by his side. He was born on February 23, 1952, in Milwaukee, the son of Merle and Margaret Kruse. He was a 1970 graduate of Waukesha South High School. On November 19, 1983 he married his wife Janet. He loved renovating old homes, sports, especially basketball, his old truck, but most of all he loved his family. Gary was an extremely kind, compassionate, dedicated, hardworking, talented, good man.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Janet of Waukesha, he was the devoted and extremely proud father to John, of Waukesha, who views his dad as his hero. Gary was also loved by his dogs Rocky and Iverson. He is further survived by his sister Debby (Paul) Bowey of Waukesha, mother-in-law Veronica Bobrowitz, sister-in-law Carol (Lance Quigley) Bobrowitz, many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law John Bobrowtiz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12 Noon funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
