Gary D. Wells

July 31, 1950 — February 7, 2016

Gary D. Wells, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home at the age of 65. He was born in Milwaukee on July 31, 1950. He attended Milwaukee Public Schools, Boy’s Tech High School and worked as a welder for Harnischfeger Corp. for many years. Gary was always assisting the homeless and less fortunate and enjoyed volunteering for the Hebron House, Hope Center and the Salvation Army. He was a very active member of Crossroad Community Church where he occasionally preached. A man of God, he was involved in several men’s Bible groups and touched many lives.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Gabrielle Boyland and grandson Kyran along with other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Wells, his mother, father, step-mother and step-sister.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 12:00 noon funeral service at RiverGlen Christian Church, S31 W30601 Sunset Dr. Waukesha, WI 53189. Pastor John Howard and Dr. Elwyn Zimmerman will preside. Private entombment at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6400 W. Burleigh St., Milwaukee, WI 53210. Memorials are appreciated to the Hebron House of Hospitality, Inc. 111 E. Main Street, Waukesha, WI 53186 or to the Hope Center, 502 N. East Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.

It has been a grand journey, I’m going home! Good Bye!
