George F. Busch, of Waukesha, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 80. He was born on April 4, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Gottfried and Rosa (nee Lattus) Busch. He was a graduate of Whitefish Bay High School and received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University, where he played football. On May 12, 1962 he married Marilyn (nee Rank) Busch at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2005. George was an avid golfer, sheepshead player and enjoyed all sports. He was a world traveler, but loved spending time at his cottage in Wabeno, WI. George could always be found at his grandchildren’s events. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his loving companion Pat Hefferon of Waukesha, his children Carrie (Max) Siraj of Newnan, GA, David (Debbie) Busch of Lodi, Lisa (Tony Valenti) Busch of Dallas, TX, Timothy (Laura) Busch of Cedarburg and Monica (Pah) Jaiteh of Knoxville, TN. Beloved grandfather of Sofia (Franklin), Luke, Micaela, Robyn, Elliot, Owen, Naomi and Nelson. He is further survived by his sister Jo Ann (Thomas) Rudolph of Enterprise, AL, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral Mass, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. in Waukesha. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in George’s name are appreciated to Aurora St. Luke’s Cancer Center, 2900 W. Oklahoma Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53215.
