George P. Gesior of Waukesha died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 58. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 26, 1960 the son of Augustyn and Teresa (nee Jerzyk) Gesior and grew up in Clarendon Hills, IL. On June 29, 1985 he married his beautiful wife, Cathy (Gregor) Gesior. George loved being in nature, whether it be camping, biking, bird-watching, or visiting national parks. If you spent any time with George, you surely would have heard a story about skiing the Birkie or visiting the Boundary Waters. George spent his time with his family, volunteering, and mentoring others. George was always looking for his next big adventure, or at least the next project on his list. He was an active parishioner of St. William Catholic Church. Most of all, George will always be remembered for his positive and cheerful nature which brought people together and made him a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
George never stopped pouring love and energy into his marriage with his loving wife of 33 years, Cathy and their children, Andy (Sarah) Gesior, Luke (Jen) Gesior, Felicia (Kevin) Gesior and Maria Gesior, his parents Augustyn and Teresa Gesior, sister Eli (Doug) Patejunas, brothers, Roman (Cheryl) Gesior and Joe (Anne) Gesior. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Bozica Gregor, sisters-in-law, Lucy Gregor, Anne (Dave) Linja and Theresa (Younan) Yonan, cousin Basia (David) Blasier, nieces and nephews, Brendon, Adam, Katie and Eric Gesior, Julia and Mark Gesior, Ralph Patejunas, and Danielle and Nina Yonan, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 9:30AM until the 1:00PM funeral Mass, all to be held at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Peak Nordic Ski Club or the National Forest Foundation.
