Geralda "Jerry" R. Schaefer

Geralda “Jerry” R. Schaefer of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 97. She was born in Waterford on June 8, 1927 the daughter of Alfred and Matilda Rolfson. Jerry was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She married Wally, raised a family, and also worked for many years at Waukesha Engine when her boys were older. During her retirement she enjoyed golfing, swimming, spending time with family, and lunching with the girls. Jerry looked back at her life fondly, often commenting on the good life she had.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jennifer O’Leary, Christopher Schaefer and Lee Knipfel; great-grandchildren, Cyndi Schaefer, Kenny Schaefer, Ryan O’Leary, Aidan O’Leary and Adrien O’Leary; and great-great-grandchildren, Layani, Xander and Blakelynn. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her two sons, Kenneth “Ken” Schaefer in 2021 and Randall “Randy” Schaefer in 2022; her sister Verna Kropetz and brother Delmer Rolfson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Graveside services for the family will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Memorials in Jerry’s name are appreciated to the AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
