Gilbert A. Bulson, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 81. He was born in Milwaukee on May 24, 1933 the son of Gilbert B. and Irene (nee Howser) Bulson. He attended Bay View High School and enjoyed his Tuesday morning breakfasts with his classmates. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1953-1955. On November 2, 1957 he married the former Iris Douglas in Bay View. Gilbert was a truck driver for LCL, retiring in 1987. During his retirement he painted houses and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Teamsters Local #200.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Iris, of Waukesha, along with their children Douglas (Marinell Newman) Bulson of Colorado, Steven (Cindy) Bulson of Ripon and Pamela (friend Glen Wellso) Backus of Kiel. He was the dear grandfather of Brian Bulson of Berlin and Greg Bulson of Ripon. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Sharon Douglas of California, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Alfred and sister-in-law Joan Mohr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 9:30AM until the time of the 11:00AM memorial service at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186.
