Glen M. Nelson, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice with his family by his side at age of 84. He was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on March 11, 1931 the son of Oscar and Alma (nee Larson) Nelson. On July 9, 1960 he married Brenda Nordby. Glen worked for Kohl’s Food Stores for 25 years and retired from Beatrice Cheese. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and gambling and was a huge sports fanatic, especially enjoying the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Glen loved to tell jokes and will always be remembered for his sense of humor and as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Brenda of Waukesha and their children, Tami Guiler of Waukesha and Eric (Beth) Nelson of Waukesha, his two granddaughters Tara (Casey) Alauf of Wauwatosa and Kristin Guiler of Milwaukee and one great-granddaughter Kendall Alauf. He is further survived by his sisters Evelyn Magnette of Appleton and Ruth Buschmann of Milwaukee along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
