Glenn P. Larson, of Waukesha, died, with his family by his side, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. He will be sadly missed by his wife Janice G. Larson (Hoadley), along with their sons Eric and Gary. He is further survived by his grandchildren Katelyn, Conner, Caleb, Callie, Amber and Rey; brothers Arvin (Nancy), Alan (Sandra) and Gene (Lynn), along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marie.
Glenn was born in Escanaba, MI, on July 27, 1941, the son of Howard and Vera (nee Wallace). He was a 1960 graduate of Prairie du Sac High School. On October 3, 1964 he married Janice Hoadley. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and involved with the church in various ways throughout his life. He began his electrical apprenticeship with Good Electric and retired from Lemberg Electric in 1999. Glenn had been a pilot since 1968 and a long time member of EAA. He had owned several small planes and was building one at the time of his passing. Glenn has been sober for 44 years and attended AA meetings regularly, giving his time freely to help others. He made many lifetime friends throughout his years in the program. Glenn was a very hands-on grandpa. He loved traveling and took all the grandchildren to Alaska. He was a very gentle man, his heart immeasurable and his kindness constant. Glenn was also an avid stock car race fan.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2:30 p.m. until the 5:00 p.m. memorial service at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave. in Waukesha.
