Glenn Terlinden

January 20, 1930 — February 2, 2009

of Pewaukee, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 79.  He was born on January 20, 1930 in Waukesha the son of Charles Garrett and Emma Louise (nee:  Koch) Terlinden.  He was a 1947 graduate of Waukesha High School and attended Milwaukee School of Engineering.  Glenn proudly served his country in the Army in the Signal Corps during the Korean Conflict.  He was a very active member of VFW Post 9537 in Pewaukee and was interested in veterans concerns.  Glenn had worked for Wisconsin Centrifugal and then for AT & T as an installer, retiring in 1991 after 35  years of service.  He was an aviation enthusiast, private pilot and loved to read and do crossword puzzles.  He was a lifelong member of Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, an active volunteer and caregiver and delivered Meals on Wheels.  Glenn was truly devoted to his family.  He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (nee:  Smith), whom he married on February 2, 1970 in Kew Gardens, N.Y., along with their children Charles Glenn Terlinden of Milwaukee and Steven John (Kate) Terlinden of River Falls, grandchildren Julianne Lois and Abraham Peter Terlinden both of River Falls.  He is further survived by his brother Dean (Jane) Terlinden of Long Beach, CA, brother-in-law Phillip Boomgard of Palm Desert, CA, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Peter Charles Terlinden, brother Carl and sisters Fern Shaner, Olive Boomgard and Ruth Terlinden and sister-in-law Isabel Terlinden. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 11 from 4:00 pm until the 7:00 pm Memorial Service at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave. Waukesha  53186.  The Rev.
