Gloria Jeannette Ludwig

Gloria Jeannette Ludwig, of Waukesha, formerly of Binghamton, NY, died on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 77 years. She was born in Orson, Pennsylvania on July 10, 1935 the daughter of Frank and Olga (nee Rewiski) Lichtwark. She was a 1954 graduate of Johnson City High School in New York. On June 18, 1960 she married Merrill Ludwig in Endicott, New York. Gloria worked for several companies in the Binghamton area and then as a space shuttle technician for IBM. She was a master gardener, enjoyed baking for her family and friends and was a member of several wild mushroom clubs.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of almost 53 years, Merrill F. Ludwig of Waukesha and their children Gerald (Rita) Ludwig of Binghamton, NY, Kurt (Sheryl) Ludwig of Greendale, Lisa (Rick) Smith of Waukesha and Keith (Ellen) Ludwig of Johnson City, NY along with her son-in-law Albert Searles of Endicott, NY. Proud grandmother of Jason, Jennifer, Jessica, Megan, Emily, Joseph, Hannah, Rachael, Abigail, Phillip and Lauren and dear great-grandmother of Matthew, Marielle, Logan, Ryan and Aaliyah. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Linda Searles, her sister Donna Lichtwark, her first husband Gerald A. Smith and her grandson Alexander Smith.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00AM in the natural burial section of Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Avenue, Waukesha. Please meet at the cemetery office.
