Gordon Maxwell

Gordon G. “Max” Maxwell, of Waukesha, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehab at the age of 82. He was born on January 17, 1926 in Waukesha, the son of Gordon and Viola (Fridie) Maxwell. Gordon was united in marriage to Jean McKenzie on January 27, 1949; she preceded him in death on January 2, 1991. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he was employed as a metallurgist for various companies throughout the years, including Waukesha Engine and Hot Point in Milwaukee.  Gordon will be sadly missed by his children: Susan (Steven) Summerfield of Waukesha, Jeff (Marlene) Maxwell of Milwaukee, Mary (Bob) Shockley of Waukesha, David Maxwell of Waukesha, Ann (Marc) Smith of Minneapolis, MN, and Martha Maxwell of Madison. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to the family.For further information, please call Randle-Dable Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services at (262) 547-4035, or go to www.waukeshafunerals.com to leave an on-line tribute.
