Guy G. Anklam of Waukesha passed away unexpectedly surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the age of 63. He was born in Waukesha on July 26, 1960 the son of Larry and Kay (nee Schoemann) Anklam. Guy’s greatest joy in life was his son Joe and together they were able to share many meaningful times over the years. He loved fishing, Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, and attending his son’s and grandchildren’s school and sports events. Guy was a creative and gifted handy-man, and loved dogs, especially his grand-dog Zoe. Guy will always be remembered for his gift to gab, for his kindness, and as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 25 years, Gail (nee Ribbens) Anklam, his cherished son, Joe (Kristina) Anklam, daughter Angie (Peter) Borchardt, his mother Kay Anklam, grandchildren, Lyla and Luke Borchardt, sister Michelle (Jeff) Barnecott, brother Steve (Kristen) Anklam, nephew Tyler, and nieces Lexi, Adeline and Ruby. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John “Jack” (Susie) Ribbens, James (Peggy) Ribbens, Karen (Bruce) Haley, Mary (John) Egan and Kevin (Diana) Ribbens, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Larry.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. memorial service at UNITY Lutheran Church – Cross of Life Campus, 20700 W. North Avenue, Brookfield, WI 53045. If desired, memorials in Guy’s name are appreciated to the American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice.
