Bettin, Harold Herman, 92, of Menomonee Falls died Dec. 30, 2013 at Waukesha Springs Nursing Home. He was born May 30, 1921 to Arthur and Louise (nee: Metzdorf) Bettin. On Nov. 10, 1945 he married the former Lorraine Fischer in Merrill, WI. She survives him. He proudly served during WWII in the US Army, was a member of The American Legion H.A. Todd Jr. Post #537 in West Allis. He was a master carpenter and built homes for Wimmer Homes winning the Parade of Homes award for best finish carpentry 4 times. Survived by his wife Lorraine of Menomonee Falls and their children: Coring Mankowski of Waukesha, Pauline Dettmann of Seatle, WA, and Susan (Gary) Esker of Wausau, grandchildren: Michael (Stephanie) Mankowski, Ann Mankowski, and Adam, Luke, and Jason Zeunges, and great grandchildren: Grace, Ava, and Calvin. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Andrew (Myrtle) Fischer of Merrill, WI, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Mark in 2009, his grandson Terry Dettmann Jr. his son-in-law Terry Dettmann and all of his siblings. Per his wishes there will be no funeral services.
