Harriett Ann Gutenkunst (Nee Randle) passed away unexpectedly of heart decease on the 18th of November, 2006 at the age of 68. She was born March 28, 1938 to John B. and Dorothy (nee: Agnew) Randle in Waukesha. Beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Gutenkunst, for 49 years. Loving Mother of Richard L. (Kathy) Gutenkunst II of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and John (Lesa) Gutenkunst of Mill Valley, California. Dear grandmother to Allison and Emily Gutenkunst of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Morgan and Myles Gutenkunst of Mill Valley California. Dear sister to John (Sandi) Randle of Henderson, Nevada and Jane (the late Elton) Greer of Kimberling City, Missouri. She was the granddaughter of Waukesha County Judge David Agnew, and is further survived by nephews, relatives and countless friends. Harriett was an active member in the Volunteer Service Club of Pewaukee Lake where she contributed her time and talents to help others in her community. Her love of cooking and baking assisted the club in raising funds for families in need. Harriett was a life long member of the Pewaukee Yacht Club. Her loyalty and passion for the club was evident in the many regattas and events she chaired during her lifetime. Harriett's passion for helping others was only matched by the love she had for her husband Dick, sons Ty and John together with her four grandchildren. She was a member of the Wisconsin Club and Chenequa Country Club. Harriett was a founding member of Ausblick where her children learned the fine art of ski racing. That support was re-kindled when her granddaughters joined Ausblick years later to continue the ski racing tradition of the Gutenkunst family. In the summer months, Harriett would be seen in her motorboat accompanied by her loving husband Dick watching family and friends sailing on Pewaukee Lake. She was fortunate to have traveled with her grandsons Morgan and Myles to national and international sailing events. She also enjoyed watching her granddaughters Allison and Emily sail the inland lakes. Harriett was a fiercely loyal and passionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend. While her life here was far too short she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love and good deeds. Harriett will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Volunteer Service Club of Pewaukee Lake, the Pewaukee Lake Sailing School or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visitation at Forest Home Cemetery Chapel, 2405 W. Forest Home Ave. Milwaukee from 12:00 noon until the Memorial Service at 2:30 pm, Thursday November 30, 2006.
