WAUKESHA—Hazel H. Landsiedel (nee: Horstmeyer) of the Town of Brookfield, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Virginia Health and Rehab Center at 89 years of age. She was born on February 25, 1920 in Milwaukee to William and Millie (nee Luckensmeyer) Horstmeyer. Early in her life she had worked various jobs as a secretary. On June 15, 1951 she married Thomas J. Landsiedel. After raising their children she ran the English Learning Center at Waukesha South High School, retiring in 1981. Her most loved job was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and was a member of First Congregational UCC in Waukesha. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Heidi (Bruce) Bayer of the Town of Brookfield, and Jodi (Craig) Miller of Waukesha. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Lindsay, Brittany and Kelsey Bayer and Terra Miller, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1978, sister Helen Jens in 1996, as well as her parents. Visitation will be held on July 21, 2009 from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM memorial service at First Congregational UCC, 100 E. Broadway, Waukesha.
