Helen M. Bralick, of Waukesha and a longtime resident of Genesee, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at her home at the age of 84 years. She was born in Waukesha on January 22, 1930 the daughter of David and Caroline (nee Knoebel) Williams. She was a 1949 graduate of Waukesha High School. On May 20, 1950 she married Joseph Bralick at St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago; he preceded her in death on March 5, 2003. Helen currently attended St. William Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Joseph and St. Mary Catholic Churches. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Soat-Vergenz VFW Post #721 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion DJ Martin Post #8. Helen was currently a resident at the Berkshire on Sunset in Waukesha. She worked as a telephone operator in Genesee Depot and at Carroll College as the housekeeping manager for many years. After retirement, Helen and her husband Joe moved to Oconto, WI where she assisted her husband as owner of the Oconto Legion Golf Course and served as the First Lady during her husband’s tenure as Mayor. Helen loved to attend her family members many sporting and school events and enjoyed dancing and playing bingo. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, Michael (Kelly) Bralick of Waukesha and Patrick (Dr. Julie Newburg) Bralick of Pueblo, CO, her daughter-in-law Nancy Bralick of Waukesha and her three granddaughters, Emily Bralick of Milwaukee and Sarah and Abby Bralick of Waukesha. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Everett (Marlene) Williams of Waukesha, Jack (Joyce) Williams of Leesburg, FL, Paul (Arlene) Williams of Nekoosa, Dennis (Carole) Williams of McArthur, CA, Ellen (Elza) Manteau of Waukesha and Robyn (David Meyers) of Waukesha, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ziebell, special nephews, Carl, Eric and Nathan, special niece Kate, along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Joseph and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Anthony Bralick on October 18, 1997, sister Geraldine Schuyler and infant sisters Joyce and Wanita.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 10:00AM until the time of the 12:00 Noon funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will immediately follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Genesee. If desired, memorials are appreciated to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 111, Waukesha, WI 53187.
