Helen Ann Buchholz (nee: Roberts), 92, of Waukesha passed away Saturday December 14, 2013 at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha. She was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Annie H (nee: Griffiths) Roberts. Helen was born August 4, 1921 in the Town of Genesee where she attended Moriah Grade School. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1939. On April 25, 1953 she married Clifford M. Buchholz at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales, Wisconsin. Clifford preceded her death on May 24, 2004 after 51 years of marriage. Helen was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Waukesha where she served on the altar committee and taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years. In recent years she volunteered for church office duties. She enjoyed being part of the church senior group “The Green Banana Bunch.” When the Church closed she joined and was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waukesha. She retired in 1995 from the Oaks Insurance Agency where she had been employed for 42 years. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and did a lot of canning, and making jellies and jams. She will be remembered for her sense of humor. She was very proud of her grandchildren and all that they have accomplished.
She will be sadly missed by her sons: Brian L. (Ann Priesgen) Buchholz of Ixonia, and Dean A. (Vickie) Buchholz of North Prairie. She was the loving grandmother of Caryssa Jean Buchholz of Chicago, Morgan Marie Buchholz of Madison, and Mitchell Priesgen of Ixonia. She is further survived by her dear sister Margaret Baumann of Waukesha, her niece Gail Hunkins, nephews: Guy Baumann, Glen Baumann, and Donald Roberts, many cousins other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother William J. Roberts, sister-in-law Elsie A. Buchholz, brothers-in-law Earl G. Buchholz and Al Baumann and nephew Ronald A. Roberts
Visitation will be held on Saturday December 21, 2013 from 11:45 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 PM at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church 424 Hyde Park Avenue Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188.
