Helen M. Jinkins of Waukesha, died peacefully Monday, February 20, 2017 with her family by her side at the age of 80. She was born in the Town of Mifflin, WI on May 27, 1936 the daughter of Ernest and Agnes (nee Dobson) Garvey. On April 21, 1956, she married Verlyn Jinkins at Rewey Methodist Church in Rewey, WI; he preceded her in death on February 17, 2011. She was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women. Helen enjoyed being a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and was an avid reader. She loved reading, gardening and crafts, but what she cherished the most was her family.
She will be sadly missed by her children Debra (Michael) Wolf of Wales, Brenda (Daniel) Holmes of New Berlin, Barry (Laurie) Jinkins of Eagle and Jeffry Jinkins of Waukesha; her grandchildren Scott (Julia) Holmes, Ross Jinkins, Kyle Jinkins and Nicole Jinkins, and great-grandchildren Caden and Scarlet Holmes. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Donna Garvey of Platteville, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Verlyn and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and Kenneth Garvey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, February 28th at 1:00 p.m. at Mifflin Cemetery in Mifflin, WI. Please meet at the cemetery.
