Helen “Mickey” Zinniel, age 89, resident of Avalon Square in Waukesha, passed away early Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Mickey was a former longtime resident of Dousman, WI and Duck Key, FL. She was a graduate of Wauwatosa High School, class of 1937. Mickey was a terrific wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Among her numerous cherished companions were fellow residents of Avalon Square, and the members of Senior Aerobics class at the Schuetze Building in Waukesha, where she spent many hours for the last 30 years of her life. Mickey is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter Charles Zinniel; her parents, John and Edith Barker; and sister, Florence Venz. She will be sadly missed by her children: Trudi (Ted) Marino of Saukville, John (Gayle) Zinniel of Dousman, and Mimi Zinniel of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, many of whom were able to be with her in her final days. A service to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI, with visitation from 10:30 AM until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
