Helen Marie Merendino, of Pewaukee, formerly of Waukesha, died on Friday, October 2, 2009 at River Hills West Health Care Center in Pewaukee at the age of 91. She was born on June 6, 1918 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Frank and May (nee Burgess) Gentry. On June 12, 1938 she married Daniel Merendino in Chicago; he preceded her in death on January 16, 1997. Helen was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church since 1980 where she was active in various activities and enjoyed baking for the bake sales. She was a volunteer at Avalon Manor and loved babies and babysitting. She would always find someone in need of a babysitter. Helen will be dearly missed by her daughter Dian (Richard) Radebaugh of Muskego, her grandchildren: James (Crystal) Radebaugh of Waukesha and Danielle Ruesch of Whitefish Bay. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren Olivia and Zachary along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Daniel, she is preceded in death by her son James in 1975, and her sisters: Maisie, Viola, Evelyn, and Irene. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 4:00 until 6:00PM, with a vigil service at 6:00PM at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Services continue on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 9:15AM with prayers at the funeral home followed by a procession to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 West State Hwy 59, Waukesha, for the 10:00AM funeral Mass. Rev. James Loehr will preside. Graveside services will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
