Henry George Schurmann

Henry George Schurmann “George” died peacefully Jan. 24, 2025 at age 91. Born in Milwaukee March 23, 1933 the son of Henry and Stella Schurmann. He was a graduate of Shorewood High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. George was an avid fisherman and hunter. 

Survived by daughter who was his pride and joy, Sarah (Brian) Pehl; grandchildren, Tony Schurmann, and Kayla and Lauren Pehl and great-grandchildren, Colt, Daniel, Codi and Evan. Further survived by his brother Bill Schurmann, sister-in-law Jeanne (Bob) Lubbert, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Janet and son Danny. 

Visitation Fri., Feb. 21 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp Street Waukesha from 3:00 PM until the 4:00 PM memorial service with military honors. Reception to follow. Memorials appreciated to Ascension Lutheran Church.
