Henry Joseph Mcgoldrick

Henry J. McGoldrick, of Waukesha, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 79. He was born in New York, New York on December 25, 1938, the son of Henry and Mary (nee Rodgers) McGoldrick. On June 27, 1964 he married the former Joan Wagner in Skokie, IL. In 1960, he received his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University in New York City and following that joined the U.S. Navy. Henry received his master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1970. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and had been Captain of the USS Bulloch County which was home ported out of Agana, Guam. He has been a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church since he moved to Waukesha in 1981.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Joan, of Waukesha, along with their children Joseph (Tracy) McGoldrick of Florida, NY, Mark (Patty) McGoldrick of Downers Grove, IL, Stephen (Tracy) McGoldrick of Allen, TX, Lynette (Grant Paisley) Trost of Delavan and Travis (Amelia) McGoldrick of Delafield. Dear grandfather of Finnegan, Tatum, Tuck, Madison, Jamie, Joey, Alexandria, Sawyer, Holden, Emmett and Greyson. He is further survived by his nieces Margaret Castellano of NY, Jean Colgan of NY, Claire Straube of CA and nephew Nick Wagner of CA; sister-in-law Kathleen McGoldrick of Peekskill, NY; brother-in-law Thomas (Ann) Wagner of CA; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31 from 4:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. funeral Mass all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. in Waukesha.
