Henry N. Tillich, of Waukesha, died on Monday, February 24, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 83 years. He was born in Csikostottos, Hungary on April 28, 1930 the son of Jean and Elisabeth (nee Bauer) Tillich. As a teenager he moved to France and in 1960 he immigrated to the United States at the age of 30 with his wife and children. On December 11, 1953 he married Marie L. Ackermann; she preceded him in death on November 4, 1982. Henry worked as a sheet metal worker for 30 years and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #18. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Henry enjoyed gardening, was a great handyman and always had a joke to share with everyone. Above all things, he was a family man and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Richard (Deborah) Tillich of Waukesha and Frank (Jodi) Tillich of Waukesha and his grandchildren, Robert Tillich, Ryan (fiancée Jamie Adler) Tillich and Nicholas (Kirsten) Tillich. He is further survived by his brother Jean (Marta) Tillich of France along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Marie and his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Elisabeth.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 11:30AM until the time of the 1:00PM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha.
