Homer Armagost passed away on November 24, 2017 at the age of 84. He was born in Corsica, PA on May 8, 1933. He grew up in Hershey, PA and later moved to California with his family. He served in the Korean War when he was only 16, and after the war he studied engineering at Utah State University before settling in Wisconsin in the 1960’s. Homer was the past master of the Waukesha Masonic Lodge #37; Waukesha Commandry #23; Brookfield Commandry #1; Allied Masonic Degree; past patron of Order of Eastern Star #55 and Order of the Easter Star LaBelle Chapter #40.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Weinke) and her children, Christopher (Susan) Reading and Lynn (John) Jankowski; and grandchildren: Stephanie (Jordan) Johnson, Christine Jankowski, Rebecca (Cody) Hagfors, and Johnny Jankowski. He is further survived his siblings Dean, Joe, Shirley and Bob and his many nieces and nephews across the country. In addition to his parents Lester and Hannah, he was preceded in death by his siblings Lester, Reid, and Alice.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Avenue Waukesha from 5:00 PM until the 6:30 PM Masonic Service followed by a Memorial Service and full military honors. Private interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
