Howard Fisher

Howard Fisher of Fond du Lac, formerly of Waukesha, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at All About Life Nursing Home in Fond du Lac at the age of 85. Howard was born on November 22, 1926, in Milwaukee, the son of Frank and Carrie (nee Dent) Fisher. He was employed for over 40 years at IHC Navistar in Waukesha.

He will be sadly missed by his children Paul (Sandy) Fisher and Thomas (Sharon) Fisher both of Waukesha, David (Kathy) Fisher of Milwaukee, Jeffrey (Gwen) Fisher of Jacksonville, FL, Randall (Sharon) Fisher of Sturgeon Bay and Vicky Lynn Cogan of Muscoda, WI. He is further survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, his sister Janet (Robert) Zimborski of Waukesha and his former wife, friend and companion for 63 years, Dorthy Fisher of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Mark Fisher in 2001 and Aric Fisher in 2011, two infant grandsons John Howard Cogan and Franklyn Jessie Fisher and his sister Mary Ann Carriere.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service all at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A private burial with military honors will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
