Howard W. Wolfgram, of Waukesha, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at LindenGrove of Waukesha at the age of 92. He was born in Waukesha on June 21, 1925 the son of William and Mabel (nee Rupp) Wolfgram. He was a 1943 graduate of Waukesha High School. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. On July 15, 1950 he married Shirley Clark at St. Mary Catholic Church where they have been longtime members. He worked for Waukesha Foundry for 43 years until his retirement. In retirement, Howard and Shirley enjoyed taking their motor home around the country and wintering in Venice, Florida. Family was very important to Howard, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his smile, as an excellent role model and as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Howard will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 67 years, Shirley Wolfgram of Waukesha, and their children Mark (Lynn) Wolfgram of Sarasota, FL, Paula (John) Wilkie of Waukesha, and James Wolfgram of Waukesha, his grandchildren Caeli (Alberto) De La Rosa, Samuel (Christine) Wolfgram, Benjamin (Renee) Wolfgram, Zachary Wolfgram, Shannon (Jon) Butler, Bryan Wilkie, Carly Wilkie, Sharon England, Sarah Wolfgram, and Michael Wolfgram, and his great-grandchildren Aleena De La Rosa, Natalie Butler, Dylan Wolfgram, Connor Butler, Geneva Wolfgram, and Parker England. He is further survived by his sister Dorothy Pierson of Waukesha and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Egan and brother William Wolfgram.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186, on Friday December 15, 2017 from 4:00 pm until time of the 6:00 pm funeral Mass. Private burial with full military honors will be held on Saturday at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in Howard's name are appreciated to the charity of the donor's choice.
