Hubert "Hubie" Saunders

Hubert “Hubie” Wyatt Saunders, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Lake Country Health & Rehabilitation at the age of 83. He was born in Waukesha on May 28, 1927 the son of Coy and Grace (nee Anthes) Saunders. Hubert proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. For many years he had worked at Home Modernizers and had been the accountant at the Humane Animal Welfare Society.    He will be sadly missed by his beloved companion Irene Ottenfeld of Chicago; his children Steve (Jeannie) Saunders of Elkhorn, Lori Saunders of Maple Lake, MN and Todd Saunders of Gleason, WI; grandchildren: Jason (Jamie) Saunders of Delavan, Jeremiah (Chelsie) Schmid of Clearwater, MN, Merlion Schmid of Maple Lake, MN and Deanta Saunders of Gleason, WI. He is further survived by his great-grandchildren Ayla and one on the way, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruce, as well as his parents.
