Ione Conant

Ione M. Conant, of Waukesha, died January 4, 2011 at Ruth Hospice in West Allis at the age of 84.  She was born on May 7, 1926 in Waukesha to William and Arlyn (nee Drum) Jorgenson.  She was a 1944 graduate of Waukesha High School.  On September 4, 1947 she married George Conant in Bessemer, Michigan.  For over 20 years she had worked at Sentry Foods in the Bakery.  She was a lifelong member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church.  She will be sadly missed by her daughters Gail (Richard) Hartung of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and Debbie (Scott) Bednarek of New Berlin.  Dear grandmother of Alex (Kathy) Obradovich of West Allis Amber Obradovich of Waukesha and Beth (Hamlet) Soria of Salt Lake City, Utah.  Loving great-grandmother of Kaitlyn, Jessica, Logan, Sadie and Gianna.  She is further survived her sisters Mae Jean Kanters of Waukesha, Billie (Bob) Lemke of WI and Diane (Harlow) Scherf of Minoqua, nieces, nephews and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband George on September 5, 2009 and sister Eileen Lamp.  No formal services will be held.  For further information, please call Randle-Dable Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services at (262) 547-4035, or go to www.waukeshafunerals.com to leave an on-line tribute.
