Irene A. Brown, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 86. She was born on January 3, 1930, in Brookfield, IL, the daughter of John and Anna (nee Krupa) Jablonski. She was a graduate of Riverside High School in Brookfield, IL and had attended Carroll College for 2 years. On September 5, 1953 she married Thomas Brown in Brookfield, IL, he preceded her in death on May 10, 2013. She had worked as an Executive Secretary for the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, until her retirement in 1995. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Irene enjoyed bird watching, needlepoint, sewing and playing bridge.

She will be sadly missed by her children Timothy (Roberta) Brown of Milwaukee, Christopher (Sue) Brown of Lake Wiley, SC and Peter Brown of Waukesha. Dear grandmother of Ian (Sarah) Brown of Stow, OH, Stephanie Brown of Charlotte, NC and Paige Brown of Clemson, SC. She is further survived by her sister Dorothy (the late Art) Diesing of Oak Brook, IL, her sister-in-law Lou Brown of IL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son Kevin Brown, brothers Ted, Henry and Wally and sister Elsie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral Mass all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. in Waukesha. Fr. Howard Haase will be presiding.
