Irene Peffer, a longtime Waukesha resident died on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Seasons Hospice. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania the daughter of Nicholas and Suzanne (nee Petrick) Lissik and moved to Waukesha at the age of 22. On February 13, 1943 she married Kenneth Peffer; he preceded her in death on January 31, 1998. Irene received her degree in nursing from Philadelphia General Hospital. She loved being a registered nurse and worked her entire career at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Waukesha.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Suzanne (Robert) Koch of Port Washington and Pamela Peffer of Waukesha, her grandchildren, Nadine (Norman) Mims of Muskego, Andrew (Laura) Koch of Franklin, Matthew (Camila) McTighe of Rockville, MD and Aidan McTighe of San Francisco, CA and by her four great-grandchildren, Sam and Alison Mims and Elizabeth and Zachary Koch. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Kenneth, she was preceded in death by her daughter Nadine Peffer and her nine siblings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 11:00AM until the time of the 12:30PM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. A private family burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to The Women’s Center, P.O.
