Irene Vick

New Berlin- Longtime New Berlin resident, Irene G. Vick, age 88, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 4, 1918 in Milwaukee to Charles and Theresa (Wafle) Rommel. On May 29, 1948 she married Merle J. Vick. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2006. Irene loved gardening, dancing, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the New Berling Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her loving children: Sally (Florian) Schultz of Minoqua and Wayne (Patricia) Vick of Brookfield; grandchildren: Joseph Helminiak, Michelle (Robin) Parkinson, William (Debra) Schultz, Jolene Vick, James (Lisa) Vick and Keri Ann Schultz; great-grandmother of Alexandria, Brandon, Shauna, Hannah, Brook and Gabrielle. She is further survived by her sisters: Leone (the late Armin) Schmidt of Milwaukee, Jeanette (Charles) Zern of Milwaukee and a sister-in-law Jean (the late Warren) Vick of Eagle. Other relatives and friends also survive. In addition to her parents and husband Merle, Irene was preceded in death by her sisters: Lorraine, Eleanor and Theresa a brother Art and one son-in-law. Visitation for Irene will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha. Entombment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
