Isabel C. Uihlein a lifelong New Berlin resident peacefully passed to Eternal Life on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Care-Age of Brookfield surrounded by her family at the age of 96. She was born in New Berlin on April 29, 1921 the daughter of Rudolph and Walburga (nee Schlosser) Pischinger. Isabel was a longtime beautician in the Waukesha area. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church for many years. Isabel was an avid bowler and loved the outdoors, gardening and knitting. She was very generous of her time and talents and will always be remembered for her generous heart and kind, gentle spirit.
She will be sadly missed by her three beloved children, Ginny Hughes of Sullivan, Judy (Tom) Schmitz of Punta Gorda, FL and Rick (Jan) Uihlein of New Berlin, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Edward in 1993, her brother Rudolph Pischinger and sisters, Walburga Zmuda, Anna Frischmann and Elizabeth Emmerich.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin, 620 South 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
