J. Patrick Conklin, of Waukesha, formerly of Madison, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his home at the age of 47 years. He was born in Madison on January 22, 1966 the son of James M. and Mary Ellen (nee Lemancik) Conklin. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and earned his law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI. Patrick was an attorney at Jaessing & Conklin Law Firm in Waukesha. He was a member of the State of Wisconsin and Waukesha Bar Associations. Patrick was very active in the Waukesha community where he served with many different organizations including; volunteering at the Waukesha Women’s Center, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the Waukesha Food Pantry where he was a previous board member and the Adaptive Community Approach Program (ACAP).
He will be sadly missed by his parents, James M. and Mary Ellen Conklin of Madison, his sister Kathy (Guy) Ruppenthal of Germantown, his brother Matthew Conklin of Verona and his niece and nephew, Bridget and Timothy Noack. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Boscos Social Club, 260 W. Main Street, Waukesha, WI 53186. A private family burial will be held in Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family in care of Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 to be divided amongst Patrick’s favorite charities.
