Jacqueline “Jackie” D. Teske, of Pewaukee, formerly of St. Francis, died on Sat., Oct. 26, 2013 at age 84. She was born in Rockford, IL on Jan. 26, 1929 the daughter of Nathaniel and Marie (Ostrowski) Westcott. On April 17, 1948 she married Raymond Teske; he preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1997. Jackie was very active in the deaf community and was a strong supporter of the Catholic Deaf Community and of the former St. John School for the Deaf. She was a member of the Waukesha Deaf Organization, the Southeastern WI Deaf Organization and of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jackie loved lighthouses and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Thomasine Teske of Pewaukee, her son Paul (Linda) Teske of Waukesha, her granddaughter Lisa (Terry) Royea of Muskego and her great-grandson Sawyer Royea. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl (Nancy) Ignatowski, Mary Ignatowski, Rosalie Teske, Felicia (the late Pete) Loppnow and Erv Szewczuga, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Ruppel, her brothers-in-law Jerry Ignatowski and Edmond Teske and her sisters-in-law Bernadine (John) Konkel and Emily Szewczuga.
Visitation will be held on Wed., Oct. 30, 2013 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:30AM funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha. Interment will be held at 1:15PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee. Please meet at the cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Southeastern WI Deaf Senior Citizens.
