James “Jim” E. Adler of Waukesha passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center at the age of 76. He was born in Waukesha on November 4, 1947 the son of William and Frances (nee Latimer) Adler. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam. On November 17, 1979 he married Patricia “Patty” (Hilgen) Adler and together they shared 44 years together. Jim enjoyed going for coffee and being with his second family at Sunset Family Restaurant. He enjoyed being outdoors and had a love for dogs, especially his dog Sadie and grand-dogs, Duke, Steel and Dottie.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patty of Waukesha; his daughters, Kimberly Adler of Waukesha, Jamie (Ryan) Tillich of Genesee, and Tracy (John) Fiege of Fort Atkinson; his grandchildren, Emmajean (Erik Nelson) Krueger, Brynn Hall, Reed Tillich, Keisha Menzel and Brandon and Paige Fiege and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Layla. He is further survived by his sisters Pauline Adler and Louise (Will) Reich; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond and Joseph.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of sharing and military honors at 7:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim’s name are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin, 620 S. 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
