James "Jim" D. Conley

James “Jim” D. Conley Sr. of Mukwonago, formerly of Waukesha died on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the age of 76. He was born on September 5, 1942 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Donald and Laura (nee Schreiner) Conley. Jim grew up in Reedsburg, Wisconsin and then returned to Waukesha and married Ellen Paddock. She preceded him in death on September 15, 1988. He was the proud owner of Jim Conley Painting for over 40 years. Jim’s home was a fixture at the top of the Barstow St. hill. He was never one to turn away a visitor and Jim loved every friend who stopped by or honked and waved as they drove by. He was known for his quick-wit and dry sense of humor and was truly one of a kind.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Mary Ellen (Chad) Peot of Mukwonago; Karen (Kenneth) Ulrich of Pewaukee; and James (Lisa) Conley Jr. of Mukwonago, his grandchildren; Henry, Ruby and Eloise Peot; Samuel, Daniel and Benjamin Whipple; and Elle, Nola and Lila Conley. He is further survived by his brother Donald (Susie) Conley; sisters, Connie Conley and Laurie (Tom Irwin) Conley; his loyal and best pal, Junior; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen, his parents Donald and Laura and brothers Vaughn and Mark Conley.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 starting promptly at 3:00 p.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 410 W. Veterans Way, Mukwonago, WI 53149. A light meal and fellowship will follow. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha.
