James "Jim" J. Miller

January 16, 1943 — February 17, 2019

James “Jim” Miller of Waukesha passed away on February 17, 2019 at AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc. Jim was born January 16, 1943, in Reedsburg, WI to Joseph A. and Marcella (nee Wilcox) Miller. Jim was raised in Sauk County, Wisconsin. Jim married Sally (nee Gregg) on February 1, 1969 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Watertown.
Jim worked for Waukesha Engine for 36 years as truck driver and various positions.
Jim was caring and willing to assist anyone in need. In the 1970’s, Jim and Sally ran a group home for young men to assist them in making better life choices. Jim was always there to lend an ear. He was a jack of all trades being able to work on a various of items-from cars to sewing pants. Road trips to explore the country with his wife, sons and later grandchildren was a passion. Jim treasured his family and above all his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his beloved and devoted wife Sally; their sons James (Jean) and John (Heather). Grandchildren Joseph, Robert, Rosemary (fiancé Alex) and Rebekah. His brothers Albert (LaVon) and Chester (Vicki); sister Mary (Don) Fleming; sisters-in-law Karen Miller, Karla (Steve) White and Betsy Gregg along with brother-in-law Jim Hurula and many nephews and nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers Michael and Edward; sisters-in-law Colleen (nee Gregg) Hurula and Kay (nee Gregg) Hendricks.
Jim was a man with a caring heart and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. The family would like to extend gratitude to Dr. Kristin Fox and AngelsGrace Hospice.
A Mass of Resurrection for Jim will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave Waukesha, WI. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 am until the mass. Interment will occur immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery, S22 W22890 E Broadway Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186. In lieu of flowers, please address memorials to AngelsGrace Hospice, W359 N7430, Brown St, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
