James “Jim” L. Ruthenberg of Waukesha passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 following a brief and unexpected illness at age 64. He was born in Milwaukee on June 17, 1953 the son of LeRoy and Alice (nee Le May) Ruthenberg. Jim was a 1971 graduate of Waukesha South High School. He spent his career working for Harley Davidson, a career he was very proud of. Jim had a passion for golfing, and enjoyed his many golf trips to Myrtle Beach, SC. He also enjoyed playing racquetball and was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers. Most of all he loved his family, and took great pride in caring for his mother. He will always be remembered for his big heart and as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sister, Joe (Pat) Ruthenberg of Vista, CA, Bruce (Sue) Ruthenberg of Wautoma, Deborah (David) Faude of Waukesha and Thomas (Cindy) Ruthenberg of Piney Point, MD. He was the proud uncle of Matt Ruthenberg, Heather Thompson, Becky Thompson, Chelsea Ruthenberg, Nick Ruthenberg, Katie Ruthenberg, Sam Ruthenberg, Trevor Faude and Emily Faude. He is further survived by his 4-legged companion, Roxy, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Alice and his sister Joyce Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 4:00 p.m. memorial service at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Rd., Waukesha, WI 53189. Interment will be at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church or to the Salvation Army, 445 Madison Street, Waukesha, WI 53188.
