James “Jim” R. Tiderman, of Waukesha, laid his tools to rest on Monday, July 18, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 70. He was born in Chicago, IL on May 12, 1946 the son of Robert and Doris (nee Gunkel) Tiderman. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On August 6, 1966 he married his beloved wife, Daryl VanSkyhawk in Eagle River. Jim loved woodworking. He remodeled two homes and was proud to have built a home in Eagle River.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Daryl of Waukesha and their children, James (Katie) Tiderman of Burlington and Natalie (Mark) Mielcarek of Milwaukee and his cherished grandchildren Carter, Jake, Sam and Belle. He is further survived by his sister Jean Peebles of Oconto Falls, his mother-in-law Thelma VanSkyhawk, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Eileen Hochschild of North Carolina, Pat (Bryain) Eigenberger of Arizona, Georgia (Jim) Lutter of Brookfield, David (Linda) VanSkyhawk of Minocqua, Jana (Fred) Sowinski of Hartland, Mack (Vicky) VanSkyhawk of Eagle River and Chuck (Michelle) VanSkyhawk of Eagle River along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Tiderman.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Military honors will conclude the visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Hebron House of Hospitality, Inc. 111 E.
