James “Sam” Beckman, 84, of Waukesha died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater. Sam was a retired teacher from Templeton Middle School in Sussex.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy (nee Tolbert) Beckman of Waukesha, his daughters Patty Winebrenner of Waukesha and Linda (John) Rankin of Elm Grove, granddaughters, Sarah, Amy and Melissa, grandson Michael, great-granddaughter Emmie along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Helen and his brother Fred.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Private burial with full military honors will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donor’s choice.
